Art District Best of 2009

The Art District Best of 2009 Exhibition is designed to recognize individual art works shown throughout the year, in commercial galleries, studios and co-ops within the District. This is a juried show, separate from the public-nominated awards.
 
 
To All Artists who've show work in the Art District on Santa Fe Drive this year:

Whether you've shown one piece, had your own solo show, or shown work in your studio -- all artwork shown in Denver's Art District on Santa Fe Drive during 2009 is eligible! That includes the District's side streets, too, of course!
 
This special juried show is designed to acknowledge the variety and quality of art being created and shown in Denver's Art District on Santa Fe Drive! We're accepting work in all mediums.

and
Michael Chavez
curator, Foothills Art Center
 
The exhibition runs December 18 - January 10 at the eventgallery 910Arts at 910 Santa Fe Drive in Denver.
 
Enter as many works as you like - as long as each piece was (or will be) shown in the District during 2009. Entry fee is $10 per piece. Entry fees do not guarantee acceptance  into the show, which will be determined by our jurors. All entries should be made electronically, as emailed jpegs; if you need an alternative submission method please contact us for instructions. Accepted artists are responsible for delivery and pick-up of  their artwork to and from 910Arts.  If you  need to ship work, please contact lacey@910arts.com for more information.
 
Artists accepted into the show will recieve 2 complimentary passes to the Opening Reception: Art Districit Best of 2009 Awards Gala and Art Exhibition.
 
Jpeg submissions, entry forms and payment are due by Wed., November 25.
 
Timeline:
Nov. 25 - Deadline for submissions
Dec. 4 - Notify artists of acceptance status
Dec. 9 - 12 Artists deliver work to show. (Hours: W – F 11-6; Sat 12-4)
Dec. 18 - Opening Reception, Holiday Gala and Awards Ceremony
Jan. 11 - Show comes down. Artists pick up work 10 – 6.
 
Call for Vendors: If you would like to reserve a vendor table for the Holiday Gala, and you have arts or crafts that would appeal to our audience, reserve your table at www.artdistrict2009.eventbrite.com. Vendor set-up is 4-6 pm and the event is 6 - 10pm. Cost to rent a 6-ft vendor table is $40 and includes one Gala admission.
