The Art District on Santa Fe is the hub of the Denver art scene, featuring more than 100 galleries, artist studios, specialty shops and restaurants. With the largest concentration of art galleries in Colorado, art lovers can find everything on Santa Fe from traditional art to contemporary and engaging art, including painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, graphic art and textiles.
Within this thriving creative community, enjoy the First Friday Art Walks every first Friday of the month from around 6pm to 9 pm. Free guided shuttle coaches pick you up at the light rail station at 10th Avenue and Osage Street and ferry you around the Art District between 5:30 and 10 p.m.
First Friday is a very accessible event- attracting not just art lovers, but tourists, families, friends, foodies, music lovers and anyone looking to have a good time. On First Fridays Santa Fe Drive is usually lined with street performers, poets, live bands and ad-hoc entrepreneurs selling their accessibly priced art along the sidewalks, not to mention food trucks! The food trucks start arriving around 5pm and usually stay until about 10 pm, gathering around the intersection of Santa Fe and 9th avenue.
