Vickie is a long-time Colorado resident who has made her living as a graphic designer. As a life-long artist, Vickie is passionate about enabling artists to create. In 2015, she and her husband opened Art Gym in a renovated Safeway building in Denver’s Mayfair neighborhood to establish an affordable, community-oriented art making space in support of emerging and seasoned artists.
As a graphic designer, Vickie spent more than 40 years telling the stories of many businesses, non-profits, and universities. Now, she is working as a metalsmith with an emphasis on lapidary. “Lapidary has opened my world to the great color and natural patterns of earth’s small details.”
Vickie shares her work out of her studio at 910Arts and loves to have conversations about the wonder of art and its fulfilling and healing powers.
